Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to advanced repairs on trucks in a mobile/field setting. You will work with DOT compliance and on-site diagnostics to keep fleets moving.

You’ll use hand and diesel tools, maintain the company vehicle, and coordinate with customers and management. A valid DOT medical card and ASE certifications are preferred; willingness to travel up to 100% is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; ASE certifications preferred.
• 3+ years in related field; DOT/FMCSA familiarity helpful.
• Ability to operate hand and diesel tools and to document work.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and repairs on mobile/field units.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, fuel, braking, and engine systems.
• Inspect, road test, and diagnose malfunctions; manage RO documentation.
• Maintain service truck and parts inventory; communicate with customers.
