Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on vehicles in a mobile/field setting. You will work independently and benefit from a company-paid service vehicle for on-the-road duties.

The role requires HS diploma, tool ownership, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and DOT compliance, with a competitive benefits package and bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED; related field experience acceptable.
• Must supply own hand tools for job duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification due within 18 months.
• DOT background check and DOT physical required prior to employment.
• DOT medical card valid or DOT physical required; 21+ with valid license.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light–heavy vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair truck systems (electrical, brake, cooling, engines, transmissions).
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
