Job summary

Cox Fleet, part of Cox Automotive, seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and diagnostics for a mobile/field fleet. You’ll service light to heavy-duty trucks, handle repair orders, and document work on a company device while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements include a HS diploma/GED and ASE T8 certification within 18 months, with valid CDL/DOT considerations.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required or equivalent combination.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMSCA regulatory compliance background.
• Ability to obtain DOT medical card and valid driver’s license.
• Experience with light–heavy truck maintenance and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Conduct repairs and diagnostics on electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and drivetrain systems.
• Test, road test, and document findings; upload RO photos using company devices.
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for repairs.
• Maintain safety checks, drive a company vehicle, and follow DOT regulations.
