Job summary

Cox Fleet, a leading provider of on-site mobile fleet maintenance, is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. This role performs DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting, with diagnostics and road testing to ensure fleet readiness.

The ideal candidate has HS diploma/GED, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and DOT regulatory familiarity. Strong problem-solving in a mobile environment is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; related experience acceptable.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification due within 18 months of hire.
• DOT regulations familiarity required; DOT inspections experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on mobile/field basis.
• Perform light to heavy-duty repairs and diagnostics.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and detect malfunctions.
• Manage parts inventory and document RO findings in TRAIT/iOS.
• Ensure safety, health, and environmental policies are followed.
