Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will work with light, medium, and heavy‑duty trucks and trailers, with a focus on diagnostics and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 3 years in related field (or 5 years alternate).
• Own set of hand tools required.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment background screening and DOT physical as applicable.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work in field/mobile environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on light–heavy vehicles in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Document work on RO using iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Maintain safety checks and manage parts inventory.
