Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, manage parts, and document findings using a company app.

Strong safety, DOT, and customer-service focus are required. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, 3–5 years of related experience, and ASE T8 certification within 18 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years’ related field experience.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT safety and FMCSA regulatory compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Document work performed and parts used via iOS/TRAIT application and RO forms.
• Manage parts inventory and operate company vehicle with pre/post-trip checks.
• Maintain safety and compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements.
• Communicate with customers to assess needs and provide solutions.
