Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Business Development Engineer for the US Marine Corps to bridge RF capabilities with Marine Corps requirements. You will support field tests, demonstrations, and technical assessments across expeditionary and tactical environments.

The role requires up to 50% travel, strong collaboration with engineering and BD teams, and a path to influence product roadmap through field feedback. U.S. citizenship and a SECRET clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related C5ISR field, with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for client access under U.S. government contracts.
• Experience with SDRs, IP routing, or tactical communication systems is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work in field environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC priorities and map requirements to radio solutions.
• Plan network configurations and conduct field trials and evaluations.
• Develop technical demos for expeditionary and tactical edge networking.
• Collaborate with BD to align work with strategic priorities.
• Support RFI/RFP responses with technical input and reviews.
