Vail Health Hospital is seeking a Clinic Scheduler to handle scheduling inquiries, coordinate appointments, and manage patient information with HIPAA compliance. The role requires strong organizational skills and experience in a medical office environment.

Responsibilities include patient coordination, data accuracy, and effective communication with providers and staff. The position may be based in Colorado with possible remote options; pay ranges reflect local geographic adjustments and PRN

Qualifications

• 2 years administration or similar experience preferred.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.

Responsabilités

• Schedules medical appointments through coordination of patients, providers, locations, payers, etc.
• Receives and initiates calls to and from patients and providers, following scheduling procedures.
• Appropriately schedules appointments, tests and procedures using the EHR scheduling software.
• Promptly answers incoming calls and schedules patient appointments.
• Obtains patient demographics including address, phone, and insurance information.
• Manages electronic requests through drop box and patient portals for scheduling.
• Distributes faxes and helps manage requests.
• Models Just Culture and Organizational Values; must be HIPAA compliant.
