Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a Clinic Scheduler to manage scheduling workflows, coordinate patients with providers, locations, and payers, and ensure accurate patient demographics using our electronic health record system. The role requires careful message distribution and appointment management, with a focus on HIPAA compliance and high-quality patient service.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of administrative or related experience, prior medical office exposure, and knowledge of medical terminology.

Qualifications

• 2 years administration or similar experience preferred.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and field scheduling questions.
• Direct calls to appropriate parties and distribute messages.
• Schedule appointments leveraging the EHR system and coordinate patients, providers, locations, payers, etc.
• Obtain patient demographics with accuracy (address, phone, insurance).
• Distribute faxes and manage needed requests.
