Job summary

Vail Health Hospital is seeking a Clinic Scheduler to coordinate scheduling, answer calls, and manage appointments using our EHR system. You will guide patients through scheduling, collect accurate demographics and insurance details, and ensure messages and faxes are routed to the correct teams.

The role requires familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA guidelines and OSHA rules, and prior medical office experience is preferred. PRN benefits include wellbeing funds and 403(b) eligibility.

Qualifications

• 2 years administration or similar experience preferred.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and schedule appointments with providers.
• Coordinate scheduling with patients, locations and payers using EHR scheduling software.
• Obtain patient demographics and insurance information accurately.
• Distribute faxes and messages related to scheduling.
