Job summary

Vail Health Hospital seeks a Clinic Scheduler to manage appointment scheduling and patient communications. You will answer calls, coordinate with providers and payers, and schedule tests and procedures using the EHR system.

Experience in medical office administration and knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA rules are preferred. This role may have remote or outside-state possibilities; on-site work in a hospital setting is common.

Qualifications

• 2 years administration or similar experience preferred.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and field questions about scheduling with providers.
• Schedule appointments, tests and/or procedures, coordinating with patients, providers, locations, payers.
• Obtain patient demographics and insurance information accurately.
