Motorola Solutions, with its Silvus Technologies subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer focused on US Air Force engagements to bridge RF capabilities with customer needs. You will support field trials, demonstrate interoperability, and help shape product roadmaps while collaborating with engineering and business development teams.

The role involves up to 50% travel for field tests and demonstrations, with a 100% remote option depending on location.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Practical experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux environments, or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++) for test automation.

Mansioni

• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live‑on‑the air execution of field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with the Applications Engineering team to leverage continuous testing and competitive benchmarking data.
• Maintain alignment with the Business Development team to support technical needs and strategic priorities.
• Assist in building and presenting technical demonstrations tailored to airborne, tactical edge, and expeditionary airbase networking needs.
• Travel to field-testing environments and engage with stakeholders across DoD programs.
