Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer for US Air Force opportunities. You’ll bridge RF capabilities with DoD requirements and support field demonstrations, reporting to Applications Engineering and collaborating with BD teams.

The role requires up to 50% travel, with remote work options depending on location, and involves translating field feedback into product roadmap inputs for airborne and expeditionary networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, CS, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET security clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizenship required; background check and drug test clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USAF operational priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan, configure networks, and coordinate live field trials and evaluations.
• Develop technical demos for airborne, edge, and expeditionary networks.
• Support RFI/RFP responses and partner with BD to align with strategy.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests and customer engagements.
