Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with Air Force requirements. You will work with engineering and BD teams to demonstrate interoperability across airborne, surface, and expeditionary environments.

The role involves frequent travel (up to 50%), collaborating on field tests, demos, and customer engagements, with a 100% remote option depending on location. A strong US defense tech background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech; OR HS diploma with 5+ years in relevant tech.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.
• US citizenship required for government contracts.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze US Air Force priorities and map requirements to radio solutions.
• Support planning, network configuration, and field trials.
• Collaborate to ensure architectures are technically sound.
• Align with BD team to support strategic priorities.
• Prepare technical demos for airborne and expeditionary networks.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and market research.
• Travel 25–50% for field tests and demonstrations.
