Job summary

ABB is seeking an Application Engineering Manager for Electrification Services (ELSE) to lead the U.S. AE organization in support of Commercial Operations and Sales teams.

You will drive customer-focused technical solutions, ensure high-quality SOWs and JCEs, and develop a high-performing team focused on growth and excellence. This remote role requires 25% travel within the US and collaboration with Proposal Management, Business Development and other ABB engineering groups to standardize

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; 12+ years relevant work experience; Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Willing to travel up to 25% within the United States.
• 7+ years in application/field engineering in power delivery products and systems; experience with oil & gas, metals, mining, paper, power generation, data center, or similar.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed technical teams.
• Experience with proposal development, SOW creation, job costing, and commercial operations processes.
• Background in field service, power systems engineering, or industrial electrical services.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Application Engineering team.
• Provide technical leadership and customer solution support across the ELSE portfolio.
• Drive proposal excellence and operational effectiveness through high-quality SOWs and JCEs; improve ITO processes.
• Standardize and continuously improve engineering processes and capabilities with KPI management, libraries, and training programs.
