Job summary

Sartorius is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to drive new business in the San Francisco or San Diego area. You will lead technical demos and trials, quantify customer impact, and collaborate with Central Sales to close deals and hand over accounts for long-term growth.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering or related field and 3+ years of technical sales or equivalent experience. Travel >50% is expected to engage external customers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of technical sales, applications support, or pre-sales experience in a scientific/technical environment.
• Strong hands-on tech capability: demos, trials, customer evaluations.
• Excellent consultative communication, able to articulate technical and commercial value.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective customers, generate new business opportunities, and coordinate with Central Sales.
• Plan, execute and manage technical demos and trials to show product fit and accelerate adoption.
• Shape proposals and commercial offers with Central Sales using technical inputs.
• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to ensure adoption and smooth handover to Central Sales.
