Job summary
Sartorius North America is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist (Downstream) for a remote-based role in the US West region, covering SF or SD areas. You will pursue new business through hands-on technical selling, run demos and trials, and drive revenue while ensuring smooth handover to Central Sales for ongoing development.
The role requires a master's degree or equivalent experience, 3+ years in technical sales, and a hunter mindset.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent professional experience in a life sciences field.
- 3+ years in technical sales, applications support, or presales in a technical setting.
- Hunter mindset with ability to identify, advance and win opportunities.
- Strong hands-on technical skills for demos, trials and customer evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Identify and engage new customers, including whitespace opportunities, with Central Sales.
- Plan, execute and manage technical demos and trials to validate fit.
- Progress deals by framing solution fit and addressing technical objections.
- Shape proposals and offers with Central Sales using technical inputs.
- Provide pre- and postsales technical support to secure adoption and revenue.
- Capture Voice-of-Customer insights to influence product portfolio and enablement.
