Job summary

Sartorius North America is seeking a Field Applications Specialist to support downstream processing technologies across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions. This role combines technical consulting, demonstrations, trials, and customer training in a remote work environment across the territory.

The ideal candidate has a Life Sciences or engineering background with 3+ years in application support or lab operations, plus knowledge of chromatography and TFF.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 3+ years in application support or customer-facing roles within downstream processing environments.
• Biologics knowledge; cell/gene therapy exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate process requirements into product and workflow recommendations for downstream systems (centrifugation, columns, chromatography, TFF).
• Design, coordinate, document customer evaluation plans, onboarding, and outcomes to drive implementation.
• Troubleshoot technical inquiries and coordinate corrective actions to protect customer productivity.
• Provide insights to support portfolio enhancements and technical fit of solutions.
• Train and mentor other Field Application Specialists and Sales teams.
