Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a District Sales Manager for a remote role with 80% local travel. You will drive distributor recruitment, coach a team of field sales professionals, and manage routes across the territory.

The position requires a BA in business or related field, 5+ years in route/field sales, 2+ years of multi-person management, and knowledge of the local automotive repair market. Travel and training are integral parts of the role.

Qualifications

• BA in business or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of route/field sales experience.
• Minimum 2 years of management experience directing multiple field/route sales professionals.
• Knowledge of local automotive repair market and experience recruiting new talent.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annual operating plan by working with distributors to increase route averages and recruit new distributors into the territory.
• Conduct FEMs every 60 days to coach and support distributors.
• Lead work-withs (truck ride-alongs) 3-4 days per week for coaching.
• Coordinate two weeks of training at start and during new starts.
• Attract and retain distributors into the Mac Tools business.
• Conduct new franchisee training (2-week ride-along) and set up new trucks.
• Perform visits to develop/coach as directed by leadership.
• Lead monthly Field Excellence Meetings with the district.
