Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Design Supervisor for a remote role. The position focuses on joint-use and electrical distribution design, pole attachments, and power delivery improvements.

You will support GIS data analytics, notifications, work orders, invoicing, and financial reporting using ERP software. The UIId department collaborates with utility and communications firms on JU programs, DSIC initiatives, and LTIIP projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; 3+ years in utility design or project management.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• PE license and/or PMP preferred.
• Supervisory experience of 0–2 years.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical distribution assets and/or communication equipment construction.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of team personnel to deliver projects on time and on budget.
• Provide technical leadership to the team for engineering design and construction functions.
• Apply NESC standards and client guidelines to pole attachments and make-ready work.
• Manage productivity and ensure projects are closed out and invoiced.
• Support client onboarding, contract negotiations, and relationship development to grow the business.
• Develop customer proposals with detailed scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
