Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Engineer for a remote role supporting our Utility Services team in Pennsylvania. The position focuses on distribution design, pole attachments, and DSIC programs, with emphasis on remote collaboration and field-quality output.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited), strong drawing/design skills, and familiarity with utility software. Travel and site meetings with clients are expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• EIT/FE exam completed or PE license preferred.
• Understanding of basic engineering theories and principles.
• Willingness to travel and pass post-offer drug test as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare distribution voltage construction packages for overhead and underground projects.
• Assist with 2.4kV - 34kV distribution line design.
• Create/modify drawings and as-built documents with designers/engineers.
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and execution schedules.
• Provide technical support to customers and support regional business development.
