Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Director of Business Development for Veterinary to own our largest multi-location deals, from the first meeting with ownership to the signed contract. This is an individual contributor role focused on strategic veterinary accounts across locations.

You will close high‑value opportunities, manage long, multi‑stakeholder cycles and expand services after signings. The role is remote (USA or Canada) with a $2M annual quota and a strong emphasis on closing over managing

Qualifications

• A record of closing $1M+ per year on large, multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Experience selling into veterinary groups, or marketing and agency services to similar multi-location buyers.
• Long, consultative cycles with several decision makers.
• You would rather close business than manage people.

Responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle from discovery to close for large deals (3–12 months).
• Deals with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders all at the table.
• Expansion: more locations and more services once a group signs.
• Proposals built with our strategists and leadership for the deals that matter most.
