SOLV Energy is seeking a Director of Project Development and Strategy to lead preconstruction for its High Voltage Infrastructure unit. You will own estimating, budgeting, and bid strategy from early opportunities through proposal finalization and handoff to execution, collaborating with BD, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations.

This fully remote role requires 10+ years in HV/substation estimating, leadership of an estimating team, and strong executive presentation skills.

Qualificações

• 10+ years in preconstruction, estimating, or engineering in HV transmission, substation, or heavy electrical/industrial construction.
• 3+ years in a preconstruction leadership role.

Responsabilidades

• Lead HV preconstruction team through all estimating and proposal development phases.
• Own the preconstruction stage-gate process for HV, ensuring consistent scope and risk review.
• Partner with Business Development to evaluate opportunities and shape win strategy.
• Direct quantity take-offs, unit pricing, and labor productivity assumptions for HV scope.
• Lead constructability reviews with Engineering and Operations to reflect buildable, field-validated approaches.
• Manage subcontractor and major equipment bid solicitation, leveling, and qualification.
• Develop and present cost estimates, risk registers, and pricing recommendations to executive leadership.
• Ensure clean handoffs of awarded projects from preconstruction to execution teams.
