Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Director of Project Development and Strategy to lead preconstruction for its High Voltage Infrastructure unit. You will own estimations, bids, budgets, and handoffs to execution, shaping win strategies and pricing with leadership.

Qualifications

10+ years in preconstruction/estimating within high voltage transmission, substation, or heavy electrical/industrial construction.
3+ years in a preconstruction leadership role.
Experience leading competitive and negotiated pricing for HV/substation EPC or self-perform projects.
Strong knowledge of substations, transmission scope, and major equipment cost drivers.
Experience building and leading an estimating team with process standardization.

Responsibilities

Lead HV preconstruction through all estimating and proposal development stages.
Own the stage-gate process for HV estimates and ensure quality across opportunities.
Partner with Business Development to shape win strategy and pricing philosophy.
Direct quantity take-offs, unit pricing, and labor productivity assumptions for HV scope.
Develop and present cost estimates, risk registers, and pricing recommendations to leadership.
