Job summary

BECU is seeking a Director of Technology – Core Banking to drive the modernization of core banking platforms and lead large-scale transformation programs. You will align technology strategy with business goals, oversee engineering teams, and promote modern architecture practices across Cloud, Data, APIs, and DevOps.

The role requires extensive leadership experience in technology delivery, strong governance, and collaboration with executives, architects, and delivery partners to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of people leader experience.
• Minimum 8 years of IT experience with application design expertise.
• Domain experience with ERP / Infrastructure & Operations / financial products.
• Experience building platforms and leading end-to-end delivery.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum and modern software practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of business processes to provide strategic technology leadership.
• Lead delivery for core banking initiatives and drive agile practices.
• Develop technology roadmaps in collaboration with business units.
• Identify innovative market solutions and lead project charters.
• Coach and develop team members to build a high-performing culture.
• Drive governance, delivery discipline, and risk management across programs.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery and ensure alignment with enterprise plans.
