Job summary

BECU is seeking a Director of Technology – Core Banking to align technology strategy with business goals and lead enterprise-scale modernization initiatives. You will guide platform modernization, cloud adoption, APIs, and DevOps practices across multiple teams and partners.

You will oversee roadmaps, manage delivery teams, and promote agile practices to deliver high-impact core banking projects. This role supports remote work and requires strong collaboration with business leaders and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of people leader experience.
• Minimum 8 years of information technology experience with delivery leadership.
• Domain experience with financial products/core banking or related areas.
• Experience building platforms and delivering across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of business processes to provide strategic technology leadership.
• Lead delivery for core banking initiatives with agile practices and lifecycle management.
• Develop technology roadmaps in collaboration with business units and ensure alignment with enterprise plans.
• Identify innovative market solutions and lead business cases and project charters.
• Coach, mentor, and develop teams to build a high-performing technology organization.
• Drive improvements across the software lifecycle focusing on quality and automation.
• Own end-to-end delivery across enterprise core platform initiatives and modernization programs.
• Establish governance and delivery discipline to ensure transparency and predictable outcomes.
