Job summary

BECU is a member-owned financial cooperative serving millions with a focus on people, not profits. As Director of Technology – Core Banking, you will align technology strategy with business goals, drive modernization, and lead enterprise-scale initiatives across Cloud, Data, APIs, and DevOps.

You will oversee roadmaps, manage engineering teams, promote agile practices, and deliver end-to-end core banking platform programs while building a high-performing, inclusive technology organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of people leader experience managing technology teams.
• Minimum 8 years IT experience with large-scale platforms or program delivery.
• Domain experience with ERP and/or Infrastructure/Operations and/or financial products.
• Experience delivering end-to-end technology programs across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and align technology strategy with business goals.
• Lead delivery of core banking initiatives and implement agile practices.
• Create roadmaps for technology platforms with business units.
• Coach and develop high-performing teams.
• Ensure governance, risk management, and delivery discipline across programs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define roadmaps and drive business value.
