Job summary

BECU is seeking a Director of Technology – Core Banking to lead the modernization of enterprise core banking platforms and align technology with business goals. You will oversee engineering and delivery teams, drive agile practices, and manage cross-team sequencing for large-scale initiatives.

You will collaborate with business leaders, architects, product teams, and delivery partners to ensure measurable value and forward-looking technology strategy in a dynamic banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of people leader experience.
• Minimum 8 years of information technology experience with large-scale platforms or program delivery.
• Domain experience with ERP and/or Infrastructure/Operations and/or financial products.
• Experience building technology platforms and teams with end-to-end delivery and cross-team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop and align technology strategy with business goals.
• Lead delivery for core banking initiatives and agile practices.
• Develop and co-create roadmaps for platforms and align with enterprise plans.
• Lead governance, program management, and delivery discipline.
• Coach and develop high-performing teams.
