Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a Director, Commercial Lines to lead national Commercial P&C operations and agency workflows. The role partners with divisional leaders to standardize processes, improve efficiency, and drive performance across the organization.

The ideal candidate holds an active P&C license with CPCU and/or CIC designations and 5–7+ years of leadership in a large brokerage. Remote work is preferred with occasional on-site needs as required by policy.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurance brokerage or agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable process improvements.
• Strong workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
• Proven ability to influence leaders and drive results in a highly matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines operations initiatives with executive leadership.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices.
• Lead process improvement to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Develop capacity plans to support growth and service demands.
• Align Managed Services resources with organizational goals.
• Serve as national SME for Commercial P&C operations and workflows.
• Support M&A integration through planning and standardization.
• Collaborate with producers, operations, and leadership for successful implementation.
• Promote EPIC usage and data-driven performance insights.
• Drive change leadership and professional development across teams.
