Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines to lead national operations for P&C insurance and agency processes. The role partners with divisional leadership to standardize workflows, optimize performance, and support M&A integration, while serving producers and account teams with best-practice guidance.

The ideal candidate will bring 5–7+ years of operational leadership in a large brokerage, hold an active P&C license (CPCU/CIC preferred), and demonstrate strong change

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation preferred.
• 5–7+ years in commercial lines operational leadership at a large brokerage/agency.
• Strong expertise in commercial P&C agency operations.
• Experience with workflow standardization and process improvement.
• Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions and integration.
• Excellent communication and change leadership skills.
• Ability to influence leaders in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute initiatives to strengthen Commercial Lines operations and performance.
• Identify challenges and implement scalable solutions for efficiency and quality.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices.
• Lead process improvements to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Analyze staffing and capacity for growth and service demands.
• Collaborate with Managed Services to align resources with goals.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, and systems (EPIC).
• Support M&A integration through planning and alignment.
• Build partnerships with producers and leadership to drive adoption.
• Promote technology utilization to improve performance.
• Use metrics and BI to drive continuous improvement.
• Lead change management across the organization.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and industry knowledge.
