Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines to lead national operations, partnering with divisional and regional leadership to standardize workflows and optimize client service. The role drives workforce planning, process improvements, and strategic initiatives across the Commercial P&C line.

The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years of leadership in a large broker/agency, an active P&C license, and CPCU/CIC designation preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurance brokerage or agency.
• Active Property & Casualty license.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models.
• Experience with workflow standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy with regional leadership.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions.
• Establish and promote standardized workflows and best practices.
• Lead process improvements to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Evaluate operational issues and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze staffing models and develop capacity plans.
• Partner with Managed Services to align resources with goals.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, systems, and workflows.
• Support M&A integration initiatives through operational assessments.
• Collaborate with producers and leadership to drive engagement and accountability.
• Promote effective use of EPIC, reporting tools, and tech platforms.
• Lead change initiatives and professional development.
