Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines to lead national operational initiatives in a fully remote-capable role. The position requires a P&C license and CPCU/CIC designations, with 5–7+ years of leadership in a large brokerage.

You will drive workflow standardization, process improvements, and alignment across divisions. You will partner with regional leadership to optimize client service and shareholder value, while guiding producers and operations through strategic

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license is required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent) preferred.
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership in a large brokerage/agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable improvements.
• Workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration.
• EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
• Proven ability to influence leaders in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy with regional leadership.
• Identify and address operational challenges with scalable solutions.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to boost productivity and quality.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze staffing models and develop capacity plans for growth.
• Coordinate with Managed Services to align resources with goals.
• Provide national SM E guidance on agency operations and workflows.
• Support M&A integration through operational assessments and alignment.
• Collaborate with producers, operations, and leadership to drive results.
• Promote effective use of EPIC, workflows, and reporting tools.
• Use metrics and BI to evaluate performance and drive improvements.
• Lead change management to adopt new processes across the organization.
