Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines to lead national operations, standardize workflows, and elevate client service across the brokerage. This remote role requires 5–7+ years in commercial lines leadership, an active P&C license, and CPCU/CIC designation preferred.

Qualifications

• Active P&C license required for the role.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation strongly preferred.
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience in a large brokerage/agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable process improvements.
• Workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
• Proven ability to influence leaders and drive results in a matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy in partnership with leadership.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable, efficient solutions.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to boost productivity and quality.
• Evaluate issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze staffing and service demands to support growth and capacity.
• Coordinate with Managed Services for resource alignment.
• Provide national expertise on Commercial P&C operations and systems.
• Support M&A integration through planning and standardization.
• Collaborate with producers and operations to drive adoption of new practices.
• Promote EPIC usage and other technology to improve performance.
• Track metrics and BI to identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead organizational change and professional development.
