Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a Director, Commercial Lines to lead national Commercial Property & Casualty operations, driving standardization, efficiency, and growth. The role partners with divisional leadership to optimize workflows and service delivery, with a focus on M&A integration and scalability.

The ideal candidate has an active P&C license, CPCU/CIC designation, 5–7+ years in operational leadership at a large brokerage, and proven stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• 5–7+ years of commercial lines operational leadership in a large brokerage/agency.
• Strong expertise in commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy with Divisional/Regional leadership.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency and client outcomes.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices across the organization.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Evaluate issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions for sustainable improvements.
• Analyze staffing and capacity to support growth and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with Managed Services to align resources with goals.
• Serve as national Commercial P&C SME advising on operations, workflows, and systems.
• Support M&A integration through assessment and workflow alignment.
• Build partnerships with producers and operations to drive accountability and results.
• Promote effective use of EPIC, reporting tools, and technology.
• Use metrics to measure performance and drive improvements.
• Lead change initiatives and professional development to sustain gains.
• Champion IOA values in all interactions.
