Job summary

GuidePoint Security is seeking a DevSecOps Presales Solutions Engineer to collaborate with Account Executives and engineering leadership to drive AppSec and AI security opportunities in the Mid-Atlantic region. This role focuses on solutioning and qualification for AppSec and AI, with growth into Vulnerability Management and Cloud Security.

You will learn emerging technologies, articulate risks and value propositions to technical and non-technical audiences, and contribute to deal success by

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of presales, sales engineering, solutions engineering, or similar client-facing technical experience with advanced sales.
• Foundational knowledge of Application Security and/or AI security concepts, secure software development, and DevSecOps practices.
• Interest in AI/ML systems, AI security risks, and governance considerations.
• Ability to learn new cyber technologies quickly and articulate value propositions to diverse audiences.
• Strong discovery skills to identify gaps in customer AppSec and AI programs.
• Excellent soft skills with the ability to translate technical content into business outcomes.
• Working knowledge of security concepts (SAST/DAST/SCA, secure SDLC, vulnerability management, web/API security).
• Familiarity with AI/ML systems and emerging AI security risks (LLM/GenAI risks, governance).
• Exposure to modern DevSecOps tooling (CI/CD, containers, cloud environments).

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives and senior engineers to drive new and continued business within the territory, focusing on AppSec and AI opportunities.
• Perform technical qualification, discovery, and positioning for AppSec and AI presales opportunities, escalating complex objections to senior engineers.
• Articulate AppSec and AI risks, controls, and architectural tradeoffs to technical and security stakeholders.
• Align customer AI aspirations with foundational AppSec realities across buyer maturity levels.
• Learn new AppSec and AI technologies and articulate their value proposition for adoption across the customer security landscape.
• Participate in Sales and Marketing events, industry conferences, and technical forums to build awareness of GuidePoint's AppSec and AI offerings.
• Embrace emerging technologies, including AI tools, to work smarter and drive better business outcomes.
• Willingness to research and engage emerging vendors relevant to AppSec and AI.
