Job summary

The ALS Association is seeking a Development Manager to lead signature fundraising events and support local third-party efforts, including the Boston Walk to Defeat ALS. This role requires building strong relationships with supporters and corporate partners while driving fundraising outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who stays focused under pressure and collaborates across Event Experience, Care Services, and MarCom teams to expand ALS outreach and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in fundraising, event management, and donor relations.
• Ability to run reports and analyze data for outreach planning.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple events and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Implement a plan to meet an income goal of $600,000 across events.
• Recruit, steward, and retain event committee chairs and members.
• Collaborate with Event Experience team and volunteers on logistics and materials.
• Manage budgets and travel throughout the territory as required.
• Partner with Care Services, MarCom, and Giving staff to engage ALS families and donors.
• Represent the organization at community events and fundraising activities.
