Job summary

The ALS Association seeks an energetic Development Manager to lead fundraising events in Wisconsin, including Walk to Defeat ALS and the ALS Golf Classic. This remote role reports to the Director of Development and partners with the development team to meet program and budget goals.

Ideal candidates bring at least two years in fundraising and event management, strong relationship-building skills, and data-driven outreach. Some travel within the territory is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years in fundraising, event management, volunteer development, donor cultivation, and corporate sponsor outreach.
• Proficient with online fundraising platforms and reporting.
• Excellent written and oral communication with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Implement a comprehensive plan to meet an income portfolio goal of $650,000+ including Walk to Defeat ALS and partner events.
• Recruit, steward, and retain event committee chairs and community partners.
• Collaborate with Event Experience team to manage logistics, printing, and promotional materials.
• Engage corporate partners, vendors, volunteers, and donors through meetings, calls, and emails.
• Represent the organization at community events and speak publicly.
• Coordinate printing and distribution of event promotional materials.
• Support the Territory team and Managing Director, Development, and staff as needed.
• Collaborate with Programs and Development departments to improve fundraising efficiency.
