Job summary

The ALS Association is seeking a mission-driven Development Manager to lead Walk to Defeat ALS events in South Florida and the Treasure Coast. This remote role reports to the Director of Development and collaborates with the Development team to recruit participants, sponsors, and volunteers while meeting fundraising and budget targets.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of fundraising or event management experience, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to analyze data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in fundraising, event management, volunteer development and management, public relations, donor cultivation and relations, and corporate sponsor cultivation.
• Skilled at running reports and analyzing data to build strategic outreach plans.

Responsibilities

• Implement a comprehensive plan to meet an income portfolio goal of $400,000+ that includes Walk to Defeat ALS Boynton Beach and various fundraising events.
• Recruit, steward, and retain event committee chairs and members as well as building relationships with community partners.
• Collaborate with the Event Experience team and volunteers to manage logistical details, printing, and promotional materials for events.
• Operate within budgetary guidelines and travel as required within the territory.
• Engage the public by representing the organization and speaking at community events.
