Job summary

The ALS Association, the world’s largest ALS organization, seeks a Development Manager to lead fundraising events in Wisconsin and manage a portfolio including Walk to Defeat ALS and the ALS Golf Classic. You will recruit and steward volunteers and corporate partners, coordinate with event teams, and drive income to meet multi-event goals while ensuring adherence to budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising, event management, volunteer development and management, public relations, donor cultivation and corporate sponsor cultivation.
• Strong ability to manage participants in online fundraising platforms and run reports to inform outreach plans.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize events and meet budgets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage income portfolio goals of $650,000+ including Walk to Defeat ALS and other events.
• Recruit, steward, and retain event committee chairs and partners.
• Collaborate with Event Experience and MarCom teams to handle logistics, printing, and promo materials.
• Operate within budgets and engage Care Services to involve people living with ALS.
• Represent the organization at community events and coordinate promotional materials.
• Support Territory team and work with Leadership on fundraising strategies.
