Job summary

The ALS Association seeks a dynamic Development Manager in Wisconsin to lead fundraising events and Walk to Defeat ALS initiatives. You will report to the Director of Development and partner with the Development team to recruit sponsors, steward volunteers, and grow donor engagement.

Responsibilities include building corporate partnerships, managing event budgets, and coordinating with MarCom and Care Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in fundraising, event management, volunteer development and management, public relations, donor cultivation and relations, and corporate sponsor cultivation.
• Skilled at managing participants in an online fundraising platform; ability to run reports and analyze data to build strategic outreach plans.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
• Experience with donor databases such as Salesforce/Blackbaud is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement a comprehensive plan to meet an income portfolio goal of $650,000+ including Walk to Defeat ALS, the ALS Golf Classic and other events.
• Recruit, steward, and retain event committee chairs and members; build relationships with community partners.
• Collaborate with Event Experience team and volunteers to manage logistics, printing, and materials.
• Operate within budgetary guidelines and coordinate with Care Services and MarCom for outreach.
• Engage the public by representing the organization at community events and meetings.
• Coordinate printing and distribution of event promotional materials.
• Work with the Territory team to support leadership and ensure adherence to Association standards.
• Travel across the territory as required and supervise volunteers.
• Support fundraising and mission activities across Programs and Development.
