Job summary

The ALS Association in Wisconsin is seeking a mission-driven Development Manager to lead Walk to Defeat ALS, the ALS Golf Classic, and partner events. This remote role requires building relationships, meeting a $650,000+ income goal, and coordinating with the Development team to recruit sponsors and participants.

You will work with corporate and individual donors, travel across the territory, and ensure timely reporting, event logistics, and high-quality materials while upholding confidentiality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising, event management, volunteer development and management, public relations, donor cultivation and relations, and corporate sponsor cultivation.
• Skilled at managing participants in an online fundraising platform; ability to run reports and analyze data to build strategic outreach plans.
• Able to communicate both orally and in writing in a timely and effective manner to multiple constituencies.
• Able to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality in working with sensitive, confidential records and information.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Windows programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to quickly train and use a donor database (such as Salesforce and Blackbaud).
• Experience using Canva, Adobe Suite, Tableau, Greater Giving, and Spekit a plus for producing and/or editing program-specific materials, running reports, and accessing training.
• Insured driver with access to an insured vehicle as frequent travel throughout the territory is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans to meet income goals, including Walk to Defeat ALS and other events.
• Recruit, steward, and retain event chairs, committee members, and community partners.
• Collaborate with teams to manage event logistics, printing, and promotional materials.
• Engage corporate and individual donors through meetings, calls, and emails.
• Represent the organization at community events and travel within the territory as needed.
• Coordinate printing and distribution of event materials.
• Support the Territory team and Director of Development with fundraising and mission activities.
