Job summary

American Heart Association in the Northeast is seeking a Development Coordinator for a remote, temporary assignment to support our Kids Heart Challenge school fundraising program. The role involves data entry, coordinating with the fundraising team, and collaboration with schools, with a laptop provided.

Hours are five per day, five days per week, with a 25-hour week; starts Dec 14, 2026 and ends May 2027 (about 14 weeks). This is a home-office-based position.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in admin work, project coordination, or event management with attention to detail.
• High school Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in event planning, organizing, and web conferencing tools (Zoom, Teams).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; advanced skills preferred.
• Good teamwork, communication, and adaptability.
• Willingness to work outside standard hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Meet with directors and volunteers to align on objectives.
• Respond to customer inquiries in a timely, knowledgeable manner.
• Support Directors/Sr. Directors, VPs, and SVPs; perform other duties.
• Prepare presentations, correspondence, and meeting minutes.
• Work independently and in teams on special projects.
• Enter, maintain, and report on donor data; ensure accuracy.
• Generate reports; occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
