Job summary

American Heart Association is seeking a Development Coordinator-Temporary to support School Fundraising for the Kids Heart Challenge campaign. This remote, part-time role in the Northeast US involves data entry, donor records, and coordinating with the fundraising team. Work primarily behind the scenes with emails and phone outreach, with a laptop provided.

The position runs December 1, 2026 to May 2027 (approx. 16 weeks), 25 hours per week, mornings preferred but flexible.

Qualifications

• At least three years' experience in administrative work, project coordination, and/or event management systems with strong attention to detail.
• High school Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in event planning, organizing, consultation, and event management preferred.
• Proficient in using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently.
• Must be able to evaluate and develop solutions; strong teamwork and relationship-building.
• Willingness to work outside standard hours; pass background check; 18+.

Responsibilities

• Meeting regularly with directors and volunteers to maintain open communication and ensure objectives are met.
• Responding to customer inquiries internally and externally in a timely, knowledgeable manner.
• Preparing presentations, correspondence, and documentation including meeting minutes.
• Working independently and in a team on special projects, recurring or nonrecurring.
• Entering, maintaining, and reporting donor data; generating reports as needed.
• Occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
