Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking a Development Coordinator (Temporary) to support School Fundraising for the Kids Heart Challenge in Connecticut. This role focuses on data entry, coordination with fundraising staff, and school liaison work, with a laptop provided.

The position is remote and temporary, lasting about 16 weeks (Nov 30, 2026–May 2027) with 25 hours per week and some early morning shifts. You will report to the RVP and Development Directors to hit engagement targets.

Qualifications

• Three years of administrative, coordination, or event management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in event planning, organization, and client/vendor coordination.
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; tests may apply.
• Ability to multitask and work across teams.

Responsibilities

• Meet regularly with directors and volunteers to maintain open lines of communication.
• Respond to customer inquiries internally and externally in a timely, knowledgeable manner.
• Prepare presentations, correspondence, and minutes.
• Work independently and in a team on nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
• Support Directors, Sr. Directors, VPs, and SVPs.
