Job summary

The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Development Coordinator-Temporary. This remote, part-time role in the Northeast (posted in New York) supports School Fundraising for the Kids Heart Challenge, including data entry, communications with the fundraising team, and school interactions.

You will support the RVP and Development Directors to achieve school engagement results, with data‑driven support, emails, and calls.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience in administrative work, project coordination, and/or event management with strong attention to detail.
• High school Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in event planning and using web conferencing software.
• Ability to multitask and work in a team.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Meet with directors and volunteers to align objectives and ensure goals are met.
• Respond to customer inquiries in a timely, knowledgeable manner.
• Assist Directors/Sr. Directors, Vice Presidents, and Senior Vice Presidents; perform other duties.
• Prepare presentations, correspondence, and meeting minutes.
• Work independently and in teams on projects.
• Data entry, maintenance, and reporting on donor info, payments, events, and prospects.
