Job summary

SMX seeks a Data Integration Specialist to bridge raw financial data and actionable insights. You will design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, connecting ERP and HR data to a new budgeting/forecasting platform. This 100% remote, full-time role requires US citizenship for a Public Trust clearance and limited travel (<20%).

Ideal candidates have deep SAP SAC/HANA/S/4HANA/BW experience, CDS/SQL skills, and a proven track record in financial data integration and BI delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of hands-on data integration, CDS View development, ETL, or data engineering.
• Proficiency with CDS, SQL and relational databases (SAP HANA, SQL Server, Oracle).
• Experience loading data into SAC and S/4HANA sources; SAP Data Services/BTP helpful.
• Strong data analytics, BI, and reporting capabilities; excellent problem solving.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development: design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for budgeting data.
• Source System Analysis: analyze data from SAP and government systems to map structures.
• Data Mapping & Transformation: create mappings; write CDS views and SQL for transforms.
• Data Quality Assurance: implement checks and reconciliation for data integrity.
• Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning: monitor and optimize pipeline performance.
• Collaboration: work with project managers, solution architects, and SMEs.
• Documentation: produce data flow diagrams, specs, and SOPs.
