Job summary

SMX is seeking a Data Integration Specialist to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines connecting ERP and HR systems to a new budgeting and forecasting platform. This full-time, 100% remote role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

You will work with SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP HANA, S/4HANA, and BW/4HANA, building CDS views and SQL scripts, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with project teams to meet performance SLAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a data integration, CDS View development, ETL development, or data engineering role.
• Proficiency in writing complex, optimized CDS, SQL and working with relational databases (e.g., SAP HANA, SQL Server, Oracle).
• Experience with loading data into models using SAC and S/4HANA Source System. Experience with (e.g., SAP Data Services, SAP BTP).
• Solid understanding of data analytics, BI, and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to extract financial data and load it into the budgeting solution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze source data from SAP S/4HANA and government financial systems.
• Create and manage data mappings; write CDS views and SQL scripts for transformation.
• Implement data quality checks and reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity.
• Monitor and tune data pipelines to meet performance SLAs and processing windows.
• Document data flows, integration specifications, and SOPs.
