Job summary

SMX is actively seeking a Data Integration Specialist to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines connecting source financial systems to a new budgeting platform. This full-time, remote role requires US citizenship for Public Trust clearance and offers a robust salary range.

You will work across SAP SAC, HANA, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and BW to deliver secure, scalable data solutions with strong data governance and collaboration with client SMEs and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Proven experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP HANA, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA and SAP BW.
• Data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting.
• Client-side JavaScript to enhance SAC functionality.
• Familiarity with SAC, BPC or BW-IP.

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to extract financial data and load into the budget solution.
• Source System Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze data from SAP and government financial systems to understand data structures and rules.
• Data Mapping & Transformation: Create data mapping docs; write and run CDS views and SQL to transform, cleanse, and validate data.
• Data Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks, validation, and reconciliation processes.
• Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning: Monitor jobs, troubleshoot failures, and optimize pipelines to meet SLAs.
• Collaboration: Work with PMs, architects, consultants, and SMEs to align design with goals.
• Documentation: Maintain technical docs, data flow diagrams, and SOPs.
