Job summary

SMX seeks a Data Integration Specialist to design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines connecting source financial systems to a new budgeting platform for a key client. This full-time, 100% remote role requires US Citizenship and a Public Trust clearance, with minimal travel (<20%).

You will work with SAP SAC, HANA, S/4HANA, and BW technologies, write CDS views and SQL, ensure data quality, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable data integration solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance or equivalent.
• 5+ years in data integration, CDS view development, ETL, or data engineering.
• Proficiency with CDS, SQL and relational databases (SAP HANA, SQL Server, Oracle).
• Experience with SAP Data Services, SAP BTP, SAC, BW-IP, and SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Strong analytics, BI, and reporting capabilities.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for financial data.
• Analyze source data from SAP S/4HANA and other systems to map structures and rules.
• Develop CDS views and SQL scripts to transform and validate data.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and secure data flows.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines to meet SLAs.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation and SOPs.
