Job summary

SMX is seeking a Data Integration Specialist to design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines connecting source financial systems (ERP, GL, HR) to a new budgeting and forecasting platform.

Candidates will work 100% remotely with minimal travel (<20%), requiring US Citizenship for Public Trust clearance. You will leverage SAP SAC, SAP HANA, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and CDS/SQL to ensure data quality and timely insights for the client.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Finance or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in data integration, CDS View development, ETL development, or data engineering.
• Proficiency with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP HANA, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA and SAP BW.
• Strong data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting skills.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US Citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to extract financial data from source systems and load into the budgeting solution.
• Analyze source data from systems like SAP S/4HANA and other government financial systems to understand data structures and business rules.
• Write and execute CDS views and SQL scripts to transform, cleanse, and validate data.
• Implement data quality checks, validation routines, and reconciliation processes.
• Monitor data integration jobs and optimize performance to meet SLAs.
• Collaborate with project managers, solution architects, and client SMEs; document data flows and SOPs.
